Dear Family and Friends:
2022 has turned out to be an exciting year of ministry for us, and I want to share some of that with you, as well as thank so many of you who have encouraged us and prayed for us.
Since “retirement” in 2013 I have enjoyed a full speaking schedule. But over the last couple years, the Lord has especially blessed Noni and me with our Prayer Warrior Boot Camp ministry. While I still welcome invitations to speak on Sunday mornings and for other services and events, many of our weekends are given to the boot camp. This year I preached well over 100 times, we often conducted as many as three boot camps in a month, and there are already several on the schedule for 2023. Most of those are in the Midwest but some as far as Florida and Washington State.
The truth is, and to give credit where credit is due, Noni and I never set out to establish the boot camp prayer ministry. God surprised us with it. For real! Just ask us about it sometime. And we continue to marvel at how again and again the Lord brings the right people, resources, ideas, opportunities, blessings, and answers to prayer at just the right time. A verse that often comes up when we talk about it is 2 Corinthians 4:1: “Therefore, since God in his mercy has given us this new ministry, we do not lose heart and we never give up.”
At the advice of trusted friends, we became a non-profit corporation and obtained 501C3 tax exempt status in the last year. A friend of our ministry graciously paid the attorney’s fees for that. By the way, the name for the corporation was the lawyer’s idea! Three men of God and prayer join me on the board: Warren Hawkins, Harry Mathews, and Dean Patterson.
Yes, we’re on the road a lot, but on the home front we are blessed with a great family. Daughter Theresa and her husband Bob both work at the hospital, Bob the director of one of the departments and Theresa the nurse manager on one of the floors. Their daughter, Natalie, graduated from Cornerstone University this spring, and their son, Baily, with his mechanical bent, has become quite the workin’ man. Daughter Christy also works for the hospital from an office at home, as well as being a sales rep for Grand Traverse Sauce Company in her “spare time.” Her daughter, 9-year-old Brooke, is in third grade at Trinity Lutheran School and hangs out often at our house, bringing with her a lot of life and joy.
Christmas blessings to you and yours – Thomas and Noni Ramundo – December, 2022
P.S.: Oops, I almost forgot to mention my book, The Prayer Life You’ve Always Wanted. It continues to sell well, makes a great Christmas gift, can be ordered through Amazon or anywhere books are sold, or if you’re in the Jackson area you can purchase it directly from me.
